How to prepare a thesis for printing in India
A4 or A5, double-sided insides, hard binding and optional gold foil — the usual university format. Upload the signed-off PDF to Printvity for doorstep delivery.
Confirm the campus rules first
Departments differ. Typical Indian university copies are A4, double-sided text, 75–85 GSM insides, rigid cover, and a gold title line on the front. Some ask for A5, single-side printing, or a specific cover colour. Print those rules; do not guess.
File checklist
Use the PDF after your guide has signed off. We print the file you send — we do not proofread chapters, citations or page numbers.
- Title page, certificates and declarations included
- Page numbers match the table of contents
- Inner margins wide enough for a hard spine (often 1.25 inches on the bind edge)
- Figures readable when printed, not only on a bright screen
Hard binding and gold foil
Hard binding is a rigid cover. Gold print is the foil title on that cover. Put the exact title wording in order notes if it should differ from page one.
Very thick files can be split into volumes so the spine stays usable. Each volume is a separate bound copy.
How many copies
Campuses often want two or three submission copies plus a student copy. There is no minimum order, so you can print one extra later if an examiner asks.
